Pink Ladies

The Hospital Auxiliary is a non-profit organization of volunteers that support and compliment patient care and community service. Here at Newman Memorial Hospital they are fondly referred to as our Pink Ladies. They operate a Snack and Gift Shop near the Main Entrance of the hospital that is open Monday-Friday 9-3, to the public. It's always fun to browse the Gift Shop to see what new treasures have arrived since your last visit. The coffee is always hot and don't forget those awesome Chicken Salad Sandwiches. Here you will be greeted with a smile, conversation, assistance with directions throughout the hospital and wheelchair assistance if needed. Through all of these services the Volunteer Auxiliary Members are an integral part of the hospital, dedicated to serving as hospital ambassadors to patients, employees, visitors and the community. If you have a few hours a month that you would like to donate to assisting others in our community, please notify one of the current Auxiliary ladies to discuss becoming a member. As most everyone knows, doing for others is often just as rewarding as receiving assistance.

Recently the Auxiliary purchased a new Surgery Carrier Bed to be used while transferring patients for procedures and also in the ER.
